With an upgate wind making float fishing tricky float weights were low., but on the upstream end peg Neil Culham found the beam feeding, and fished a perfect match catching 10 bream to win with 33lb. Second place went to Clive Williams with 7lb of float caught fish.Third palce went to Pete Tomlinson 6lb 3oz..

This new venue provided some excellent weights, Neil Culham drawn on peg 19 caught on pellet waggler and pole for a winning weight of over 100lb, in second place was John Rick on peg 23 with a pole caught weight of 70lb, third place went to Pete Tomlinson on peg 5 with 54lb.

With the carp reliuctant to feed a few of the anglers had a decent day, while some struggled to get the fish to feed, leading the way was Daryl Butler with 72lb 10oz from peg 17 Daryl fished over on pellet on the inner island, in second place was Chris Shaw 70lb on the outer peg 14 catching down the margins, third place went to Mick Danby also on the inner with 55lb.

On the hottest day of the year so far the fish were in a spawning frenzy weights were lower than expected as the fish had other things on there mind.

With fish spawning and the sunny and bright conditions it made it hard for most, leading the way was Chris Shaw on peg 22 who put 34lb on the scales his weight was helped by a mighty carp weighing 16lb 9oz, that along with a couple of smaller carp and some silvers gave him the win,running him close from peg 24 was Martin Lacey with 33lb Martin coming second again for the third consecutive match Martin had 3 carp and a few silvers .third place went to evergreen Clive Williams fishing on peg 5 Clive had 30lb mainly silvers on worm.

Weights were low with no roach showing only small fish and the odd bream making up the weights.

John Rick fishing peg 202 had bream up to 4lb in his catch and also lost a couple of big bream, second place went to Martin Lacey had mainly skimmers and one decent bream for 9lb, third place went to Chris Shaw with a net of skimmers for 6lb.

This was Midlands last match of the season thanks to everyone who helped during a difficult season, stay safe and stay well. Under decent conditions the match was a close run thing, coming out on top was canal expert Simon Harper off fancied peg 198 putting 8 lb 8oz on the scales, in second place off end peg 208 was John Simpson with 8lb 3oz.

Despite good conditions fish were hard to find, after a fishless first hour Martin Lacey changed to pole and started to catch roach and bream, netting two bonus carp at the end for 53lb, on the opposite bank Gary Smith had a carp first put in but then switched to pole finishing with 30lb.
